Update: Stomach Bug, Weekend, 15 Months and New School!

There's so much to include in this post -- I hate when I wait so long to update.  If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I've advertised more than once my need for an assistant, maid, and cook.  If only I could find someone that would work for FREE :-) and could put up with me, I would have time for stuff like updating the blog and Facebook (though Facebook has sort of changed in the past couple of months...not a huge fan these days...).

So what have we been up to the past week?

Just hours after posting my last update, Danny got sick. :-(  That's right, folks -- I managed to get everyone in my house sick.  It's affected us all in different ways -- I'll leave out the details -- but it probably hit poor DK the worst.  He's still trying to get over it.  Morgan and I are both healthy again.

We had a nice weekend.  Mo spent Friday night with my in-laws while DK and I had a date night.  We went to one of our favorite Japanese restaurants.  We both LOVE Japanese and were able to eat it for the next two days because of the huge portions they give.  We planned on going home and renting a movie to watch, but I had to make a stop at Target.  I didn't know how to act not having to entertain a one-year-old while shopping, or not having to rush home and help the Daddy take care of the one-year-old, LOL.  So I sort of stayed in there a long time.  And it felt so good! :-)

Saturday morning we got back with Morgan, my in-laws, and Tommie and went to the Alabama-Auburn basketball game.  I think this is the first basketball game for us with a toddler, and it ran smack dab in the middle of her much-needed naptime.  After rebelling for a little while, she was finally asleep during halftime.  She only slept about 20 minutes, but was a perfect angel the rest of the time.

I have a hard time following basketball, so I always enjoy watching the cheerleaders and dancers.  And the funny things they do on the scoreboard like KissCam.

The football players on their way to get their trophy for winning the national championship.  I think we attended this game just for the halftime presentation.

Mo napping on Daddy.

Coach Saban and the players.

The Auburn SGA President singing the Alabama fight song.

Julio Jones and Mark Ingram, I think.

The trophy.

They had a cute halftime show with 90s music and dances.

I think this was the Tootsie Roll.

Someone slept through it all.

But was up shortly after half time.  Sitting in the chair like a big girl.

Visiting Auntie Ash in the football offices.  Check out the trophy case.
Mo is like "Who cares?  I can see outside!"

Alabama in the NFL.  This wall has the NFL teams and a list of all the Bama players that were on those teams.  That's Tommie and my mother-in-law in the pic.

The workout area.

Morgan checking ou the workout area.

After that, we went to Auntie Ash's to hang out for a little bit.  I took that as the perfect opportunity to take some 15-month pics of Morgan (can't believe she's 15 months!).  Ash has a fenced backyard, so I didn't have to worry about her running in the road or anything like that.  I had a hard time getting my child to look at the camera, though, once she discovered Ashleigh's yard had a bit of an incline.  So to Morgan, that meant running up and down the "hill" over and over and over and rarely looking at poor Mama trying to get some shots. LOL. I got a few though!

Then finally, this morning was her first day at her new school!  I'd been a little nervous about her going some place new.  The teachers at her old daycare were VERY sweet and I was afraid we wouldn't find sweeter people.  I may have been wrong.  We dropped Morgan off this morning, and her new teachers seems just as sweet!  I was a little worried that she'd cry when we left and it'd be a rough morning, but shortly after getting there she didn't want her daddy to hold her hand anymore.  She wanted to play!  What a big girl! :-)  I called midway through the day and they said she'd cried only once.  Why, you ask?  Not because she missed her mama and daddy.  Not because she wanted more food.  Not because she was having a hard day.  But because they had to come inside from playing outside!  LOL!  My child wanted to play outside all day!  Too funny!

Danny and I both left that daycare this morning with NO reservations.  That's saying a lot for us (okay -- ME).  I am so glad we made the decision to move her to this new daycare.  It's a little more expensive, but it's worth it for a lot of reasons.  Here's Morgan this morning before her first day at her new school.  Happy as always. :-)

Perfect Angel  - Ha!

This is our last week before Spring Break, so I'm just going to coast along this week. :-)  After Spring Break, it's just one more nine weeks, and then summer time!  This year has flown by!

I had a little more to blog about, but I barely had time to post this maybe another blog some time this week.  And sorry for any ramblings or typos -- not a lot of time to proof.  And I'm also working on an e-mail subscription for the blog (for those of you without a Blogger account) that will email you when I update.  So that  means you don't have to check back to find nothing new ALL THE TIME! :-)

Hope to have it up some time this week!  Have a great week, everybody!
